brooklyntree asked: Western New York; I've heard people say everywhere west of New York City is considered Western New York. To that end, what is considered Upstate? Things I won't know even though all my family lives there. My grandparent's house resides in a place that used to be a city, then was demoted to a town, then to a village, and now it is a hamlet. I think animals outnumber poeple.
